Latin America. IP convergence means that many automation systems already run on Ethernet, for which Belden has an extensive family of UTP and FTP cables and connectors.
However, Belden continues to revamp its range of traditional control cables. This range is launched with a very tight price to help the installer save a few dollars with a cable that meets the requirements of active equipment (backed by the Belden quality guarantee), at a cheaper price.
To support the integrator, on the web www.belden.com there is a "cross-reference" that allows to locate the Belden model for the different sub-systems (cresnet, or DM ultra of Crestron, homeworks/sivoia/QS/ecosystem of Lutron, or AXlink of AMX...). An example is the new cable for dimmers 0-10v, both in anti-flame version "riser" and "plenum".
In addition, for the same projects, Belden recently introduced new series of sound cables. This is the 1300 series, designed for interior and exterior. It comes with 2 interesting advantages: its copper conductors are oxygen-free.
By extracting the air bubbles, copper oxidizes less, and lasts longer. That is why it is especially suitable for outdoors (example: hotel horns). The lining of this series comes with a special carbonate that gives it protection against UV rays, which typically crack standard liners. Finally, Belden brought out a new line of HDMIs, from 1 meter to 20. The relevant thing is that they support the standard for 4K (HDMI 2.0), since they allow 18 Gbps.
