AVIXA's standards development process is accredited by ANSI, a private non-profit organization that administers and coordinates voluntary standardization and conformity assessment systems in the United States. ANSI is the only U.S. representative of the two major international standardization organizations: the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and, through the National Committee (USNC), the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
