Latin America. Avid has just launched AvidPlay, a new music distribution service for its Avid Link app, which allows artists, producers and record companies to showcase their music on the most popular streaming services.
With AvidPlay, artists can distribute their music pieces and albums to hundreds of streaming services around the world, including Spotify, Pandora, Google Play Music, Amazon Music, NetEase, Gaana, Anghami, Deezer, iHeartRadio and many more, and keep one hundred percent of the rights and profits.
Music creators simply purchase their music distribution plan on the Avid Link Marketplace and then upload their finished pieces with their artwork. From there, artists can use the AvidPlay dashboard to easily handle pieces and albums that are registered for streaming. They can also see how much money they have made from each song. All this from Avid's creative tools, or with the Avid Link app for mobile devices.
"For music, audio and video producers to succeed, it is crucial to provide them with a way to present their work to the target audience," said Rob D'Amico, director of Avid's audio and video segment. "Avid Link provides artists with the ability to promote their works and increase their exposure across different platforms, which in turn will increase their network of personal contacts when dealing with other content creators. Because Avid Link is available to everyone — not just Avid customers — music creators will now be able to easily expand their creative possibilities, distribute their music, and be paid for the content they produce."
The Avid Link 2019.7 app is now available as a free app for Mac, Windows, iOS and Android, and can be accessed from Pro Tools®, Media Composer and Sibelius. Annual AvidPlay subscriptions are on sale on the Avid Marketplace, which can be accessed from Avid Link, at prices starting at $4.99 USD.
The Avid Link app debuted last January and has more than 260,000 users. Avid Link allows community members to expand their creative possibilities by networking with other artists, music and film producers, mixing engineers, composers and editors, giving them the opportunity to grow their personal network of contacts and increase their exposure.
With access to world-class artists, award-winning music professionals and resources, users will now be able to share their work, get feedback and advice, and collaborate with like-minded people around the world, regardless of what creative tools they use.
