Christie releases a 64-bit version of Pandoras Box

Latin America. The demand for better performance in processing, playback and controlling higher resolutions and data volumes on multiple displays continues to grow. With the new Version 6.4 of Pandoras Box, Christie now launches its new 64-bit processing software, which satisfies the most demanding and considerably improves the performance of the processing hardware that was already in operation.

Christie Pandoras Box is a multi-award-winning family of hardware and software tools dedicated to video processing and real-time show control, reaching its highest levels of excellence in shows and live events, projection mapping, image composition and interactive applications. You can now download the new version on the Christie Pandoras Box website.

With unprecedented flexibility and speed, Pandoras Box 6.4 combines the latest in processing technology with intuitive media and show control. To the innovative aspects provided by the redesigned interface, we must add the considerable improvement obtained in the performance of all systems thanks to a software update that opens the possibility of obtaining new resources from the existing server hardware.

The rendering engine, which runs exclusively at 64 bits and is the centerpiece of the product, is now perfectly suited to the operating system. Pandoras Box can also use additional resources, such as system memory, or process more calculations in parallel, substantial improvements that make it possible to simultaneously play more or more video files.

Thanks to the redesign of the user interface, the software is clearer and more structured, which makes it easier and faster to query important data or settings. The new icons also allow intuitive operation and offer the user direct access to key aspects. Another newly introduced capability is the now revised QuickTime decoder, which enables faster decoding, includes hardware acceleration, and supports new codecs, such as H.264, HEVC, ProRes, and DNxHD.
