Latin America. The first audio processing software for Windows 10 PCs fully optimized for use with microphones from Shure's networked systems is now available worldwide. IntelliMix Room, announced at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), is an innovation in digital signal processing (DSP) for AV conferencing.
IntelliMix Room is a software-based digital signal processor that requires minimal customer configuration and requires no additional dedicated hardware, reducing the costs and visual impact needed to conduct superior audio and video conferencing. It incorporates premium audio into video conferencing calls, as it is implemented on existing Windows 10 PCs in the room and on meeting control devices.
Shure IntelliMix digital signal processing technology comes pre-installed on hardware devices such as the IntelliMix P300 Audio Conferencing Processor and MXA910 and MXA710 microphones. It is now also available in the form of standalone software.
IntelliMix Room helps IT professionals, and executives, achieve better meetings with the following features:
Natural audio quality for various room sizes and budgets
Consistent audio and video quality across all rooms
Full Dante compatibility
Enterprise-scale licensing
Scalability and low maintenance cost
Easy to install and manage
All Dante audio is protected by Shure Audio Encryption
This new software-based approach also allows system integrators to install more rooms, more easily, unifiedly and economically than when using hardware-based digital signal processing solutions. IntelliMix Room enables up to 16 channels of audio processing and implements the same algorithms as Shure's award-winning IntelliMix P300. It is designed to be installed on the same meeting room computer, which contains the codecs of conferencing software such as zoom, Microsoft® Teams, Skype for Business, etc.
IntelliMix algorithms are specifically designed to optimize the performance of Shure's premium conference microphones. IntelliMix Room combines and optimizes audio output from multiple microphone sources, making it easier to install even more complex boardrooms. With Echo Cancellation, Noise Reduction, Automatic Mixing, Automatic Gain Control and secure Dante routing, IntelliMix Room automatically produces a single conference-ready audio channel.
Once installed, IntelliMix Room runs in the background on the room PC as a Windows 10 service. Designed with IT workflows in mind, it can be deployed en masse and configured remotely using Shure Designer System Configuration Software.
IntelliMix Room has three- and five-year licensing options. By using shure's free software, such as Designer and SystemOn Resource Management Software, integrators can configure rooms, either with the templates provided by Shure, or easily configure their own rooms in order to achieve unified, large-scale deployments at their customers' facilities. Firmware updates are installed automatically. IntelliMix Room's exclusive software focus for digital signal processing is particularly suited for progressive system integrators who offer audio and video solutions as a service to their end customers.
The University of Southern California (USC) is among the first to install IntelliMix Room. As one of the world's leading universities, with more than 50,000 students and 4,000 full-time academic members, it is paramount to be able to count on effective technologies in classrooms and distance learning.
USC is in the process of installing IntelliMix Room in 226 rooms by the end of July and another 80 to 100 by next summer. With 22 rooms now complete, Joe Way, Ph.D,CTS, USC's Director of Learning Services, is already looking at the advantages.
