It is worth mentioning that, the conclusion was drawn after conducting a study on the carbon footprint of its products where it discovered that its operation generates, annually 2.2 million tons of CO2, therefore, Panasonic will seek through a series of specific actions, to improve in terms of environmental impact and thus reach 2030 with zero emissions, this was commented by the CEO of Panasonic Group, Yuki Kusumi.
The Executive added that they will also contribute to reducing society's CO2 emissions, providing energy saving solutions and clean energy technologies to B2B and B2G customers and will reinforce their area called "Avoided Emissions" by 2050, with the aim of accelerating society's transition to clean energy, which will also accelerate the reduction of CO2 from its own value chain.
At CES 2022 held in Las Vegas, Nevada, Panasonic presented environmental solutions on the virtual site, including hydrogen energy, such as the pure hydrogen fuel cell, air-to-water heat pump and advanced batteries for electric vehicles.
