Latin America. Audinate, Dante's developer, has completed the acquisition of the video business of Silex Insight SA ("Silex"), based in Belgium. Silex Video Business produces video networking products for AV equipment manufacturers.
The acquisition of Silex's video business is strategically attractive because it complements Audinate's business with Dante AV for that video over IP market. In particular, the transaction will increase video hardware engineering capacity, enable acceleration of the video product roadmap and cement the foundations of video product engineering in Europe.
With the recent acquisition of Silex Insight's video over IP division, Audinate introduces some of the solutions available for video over IP. For example, IP cores of video codecs (Video Codec IP Cores) such as Colibri, JPEG2000, VC-2 HQ, JPEG, MPEG 2, etc. Just like AVoIP Cards and Memory Controllers.
