Latin America. Bose Professional announced the availability of the new EdgeMax EM90-LP and EM180-LP models in the EdgeMax line, the family of directional ceiling-mounted speakers that have redefined this product category.
LP models bring powerful EdgeMax sound and asymmetrical coverage to smaller rooms and more challenging spaces, and work in tandem with the original EdgeMax speakers to deliver consistent, high-quality performance on projects where specifications and installation conditions vary.
The EdgeMax LP models were designed specifically for smaller rooms with lower ceilings and complex installation requirements. The new EdgeMax LP speakers have a 4-inch (10.2 cm) deep back housing, which is 60% smaller than the original models, making the EdgeMax LP ideal for rooms with limited space between the false ceiling or ceiling and with narrower spaces. The EdgeMax LP also features an 80° vertical coverage angle, ideal for conference rooms and workspaces with lower ceilings.
Large, busy rooms with higher sound pressure level (SPL) needs, such as gyms, restaurants, and bars, will still be able to benefit from the powerful and deeper enclosures of the original EdgeMax speakers. The original EdgeMax models feature a 9-inch (22.9 cm) deep back housing and a 75° vertical coverage angle designed to deliver bold full-range sound, more bass power, and increased SPL capability in larger spaces with high ceilings.
All EdgeMax models feature dual drivers and patented PhaseGuide technology to project powerful, asymmetrically focused sound into a room to deliver outstanding performance, directionality, and speech intelligibility while allowing placement in discrete locations without being an obstacle. EdgeMax speakers are designed for specific horizontal coverage: 90° for corner placement or a wider 180° that is ideal for near fields and extended coverage.
