Latin America. Casio reported that its Signature XJ-M256 projector with lampFree technology has been sent to the International Space Station to be operated by the team on board in training activities, including spacewalks and complex robotic systems.
This is the first time a data device has made such a long journey into space. The XJ-M256 will also be used for video conferencing with ground support staff and for entertainment purposes, for example, to watch TV or movies in their spare time.
The Signature were the best option, as they are DLP 3D Ready equipment, they have automatic brightness adjustment to save energy and reduce eye fatigue. Specifically, the XJ-M256 offers 3000 lumens of brightness, WXGA resolution (1280 x 800); and incorporates a 5W speaker and a 1.5x zoom.
