Latin America. Shure announced that a new version of its ShurePlus Motiv Mobile Recording Application designed for use with Motiv Digital Condenser Microphones is now available for download.
Version 2.0 of this iOS app offers a number of new advanced features, such as an editing tool, improved user interface and smooth sound measurement for a more accurate and jitter experience.
In addition, version 2.0 features access to a playback window that allows users to review, evaluate, or simply listen to a recording of their choice.
"We are always listening to our users. These latest updates are a direct result of their feedback, requests and needs," said Thomas Banks, Senior Product Management Specialist at Shure.
"We understand that the ability to edit and play back a recording is of paramount importance to achieve an optimal, high-quality audio file. With the improved navigation panel users can now navigate very easily through the app. The extended capabilities of version 2.0, including the ability to adjust, split and dim recordings, add more value to the overall MOTIV experience and incentivize our team to continue looking for ways to improve its functionality."
To further increase the current capabilities of the application, version 2.0 offers a very easy-to-use editing tool. The editor allows you to trim and split tracks, incorporate user-defined fades and place markers in the recording timeline and create points to return, play from that point or define split points.
Shure also introduces a "flattened" interface with fewer selections and drop-down menu options so users can move faster and more efficiently through the app. In addition, the improved measurement provides a smoother transient response for an optimized and fluid visual experience. The clip indicator now causes the entire measurement bar to change to red when the clip is placed, making it easier for the user to identify and respond to the action.
The app's playback window creates an enhanced audio environment for critical review of recordings or just casual listening. Playback controls include play, pause, fast-forward, and back buttons. Users can also use the loop function for continuous review of a track and have the option to add illustrations or images to the recording via the iOS Camera Roll.
The original ShurePlus MOTIV Mobile Recording App was designed for use with all MOTIV products. This free app is packed with smart and intuitive features for high-quality digital recording and sharing via text message, email, iTunes, AirDrop, and Dropbox.
It enables 24-bit/48 WAV recordings with all MOTIV microphones and allows users to make real-time gain, equalization and compression adjustments to selectable DSP preset modes. It is also a comfortable and reliable tool in itself for enhanced recordings, and now also for editing.
Version 2.0 of ShurePlus MOTIV is available for download from the Apple App Store.
