Technology behind a Carlos Vives concert

Mexico. To fill an enclosure with emotions is to give oneself to the task that each of the details such as the lights, the atmosphere or the sound, are proper for the attendees. In the concert of Carlos Vives of his last tour of Mexico, the main objective was to create an environment where the same adrenaline of the artist was transmitted to the audience present.

To achieve this there is a lot of work behind that make the concert perfect: lighting, amplifiers, consoles, microphones, audio design and even the movement of the dance floors, to in the end, make everything even more attractive. The goal of the performance is to move the emotions and enjoy the moment with all the senses present there.

It all starts on stage, where the sounds produced by voices, acoustic and electronic instruments are sent through microphones and direct audio outputs to the control area. This is where audio engineers receive the sound of each instrument in individual channels via cables, all in a console that mixes the audio.

In these consoles, engineers adjust the level of each channel to ensure that the instruments and voices sound with the necessary power, as well as apply equalization, making all frequencies at the correct level.

Bringing technology to each staging requires work and precision, from installation to the moment of execution. Víctor Gutiérrez, together with his team at Proaudio del Norte SA de CV, are in charge of carrying out different concerts in Mexico through the latest audio, light and video solutions using products of the highest quality from Harman Profesional.

"In my opinion a very important part of offering a spectacular event is the cutting edge in technology and Harman equipment, especially amplifiers and speakers, have the latest components that make them very efficient." Victor Gutierrez mentioned.

Technology in a massive concert is very important to ensure the quality of the event and the best experience in the attendees. And that is why for the Carlos Vives concert they used Crown IT HD amplifiers, JBL VTX Speakers, BSS Processors, AKG Microphones, Martin Lights lamps". It should be noted that the experience of using the new VTX system has many virtues because it is lightweight, easy to assemble and transport and has an impressive quality," added Victor.

Generally speaking, every chord on a guitar, drum beat, or vocalist's notes reach thousands of people in the precise way each concert requires. This is how the conjunction of musical talent, technical knowledge and cutting-edge technology produce emotions that will remain in the audience for many years to come.

The concert of Carlos Vives in Monterrey became unforgettable, said Victor Gutierrez, the public, in addition to the great talent of the artist,  enjoyed the experience and  the atmosphere that was lived when carrying out the performance with the solutions in sound and lights of the highest quality, resulting in the best experience through Harman Professional products.
