Awards for the PFPower MIW-SURGE of Panamax/Furman

Panamax/Furman, a company dedicated to the implementation of energy management solutions, announced that its PFPower MIW-surge was recognized at Cedia Expo 2008 with two industry leader awards. The in-wall protection system also won a CustomRetailer Exc!te award and was named by Electronic House as one of its products of the year 2008. Electronic House's products of the year are chosen by the editors of EH publications, four magazines dedicated to integrating technology into the home.

This decision is based on year-round evaluations, product testing, and conversations with installers and product users. The new products were judged according to promises of features that publishers felt would be enthusiastically received by consumers. As one of the most important criteria was technological innovation combined with outstanding functions.

The Exc!te award, presented by CustomRetailer magazine, pays tribute to products that stand out for their innovation and high-performance solutions aimed at professional installation. Winners are selected from hundreds of nominations received and judged by the magazine's editorial staff.

"It is a true honor to receive such prestigious recognition for our MIW-SURGE from two of the industry's leading awards," said Dave Keller, vice president of sales and marketing for Panamax and Furman. "Our engineers worked hard to ensure that the MIW-SURGE provided the clean look the consumer is looking for. In addition, the variety of A/V connections with the Decora ® adapter makes it a highly flexible solution for any installation. These awards demonstrate our dedication to improving our energy management solutions and are a true testament to the innovation of our In-wall products."

The MIW-SURGE offers protection in an aesthetically appropriate way so that devices such as home theaters are not damaged by power surges. For a professional and clean installation the protection system is installed behind the electronic device and offers an ultra-thin profile that allows the device to hang less than an inch from the wall.
