International. The company Telecast Fiber Systems presented the latest equipment in its Thor series, which includes fiber optic extenders for professional applications in the audiovisual industry.
New additions include the DVI modular DE extension, the DE Throwdown DVI with audio extender, the DA Throwdown HDMI distribution amplifier, and the mission-critical SXL KVM switching.
This equipment can be used in environments such as hospitals, airports, or casinos, asking operators to drive high-resolution matrices of digital flat screens through their DVI or HDMI interfaces, to achieve optimal image quality.
Steve DeFrancesco, the company's vice president and general manager, said, "We're expanding and improving the Thor line to make it easier for users to harness the power of fiber for digital streams from any content source, including RGB."
These modules can extend up to two kilometers, capacity that makes it optimal for large digital signage installations on university campuses, corporate centers, sports, leisure venues, with good image quality and supporting devices such as keyboards and mice, touch screens, graphic tablets and barcode readers.
