Latin America. The KH310A is the new active 3-way monitor for studio presented to the market by the manufacturer Neumann, which bases its electroacoustic performance on the latest development of controllers located in closed cabinet, ensuring extremely accurate reproduction throughout the frequency response range at high playback levels.
This equipment can be used as a near-field monitor for mixing and mastering, or as a main speaker in medium-sized surround systems. It can also be used as a rear speaker in large multi-channel systems.
The KH310A's mid-range treble and bass controllers were designed and tested by Neumann. Each controller is optimized using acoustic simulators and subjecting it to a process to ensure linear reproduction over the entire frequency range.
The medium frequencies, essential for speeches and vowels, are accurately reproduced thanks to a dedicated dome for the mid-frequency conductor. Meanwhile, the high frequencies are handled by a fabric alloy dome in a mathematically modeled scattering waveguide. As a result, an authentic sound is obtained, rich in details and minimizing reflections in the vertical plane.
The monitor is particularly relevant to the film industry where it is common to require monitoring solutions for multi-channel recordings with 8 or more audio channels.
According to the manufacturing company, this new equipment reflects Neumann's philosophy of achieving the most accurate sound reproduction using artistic techniques and state-of-the-art technology.
