The EKX series is the newest member of Electro Voice's portable speaker family, combining EV sound quality and reliability with the latest technology, all in a compact package suitable for a wide range of sound reinforcement scenarios, including musicians, DJs and installed sound applications.
It has eight models (four power and four passive), including two-way models of 12 and 15 inches, subwoofers of 15 and 18 inches. EKX is above the ZLX and ELX series and below the ETX series.
It has an intuitive navigation menu through the LCD screen. Easy setup via four presets (Music, Live, Speech, Club), five user-programmable presets (store and retrieve), visual monitoring of power limiter status, input level and meter control, and main volume control to ensure optimal gain structure.
The unique feature of EV cardioid control technology for subwoofers allows for audience-directed output with a reduction of up to 35 dB on stage when multiple subwoofers are deployed.
The Synchronized Transducer Signal (SST) waveguide design, and Class D amplifiers, along with QuickSmartDSP, all work together to provide accurate coverage and superior sound quality at high SPL levels.
In addition, it has intelligent thermal management with a variable speed fan controlled by multiple sensors on board, ensuring superior performance and reliability in all environmental situations.
