Latin America. The mechanics, acoustics and aesthetics of the two new subwoofers in the INGENIA series, the IGS1 and IGS2, were designed by dBTechnologies to complement the INGENIA range of column speaker systems, improving low frequencies and providing greater scalability for the series. These additions expand the possibilities for a variety of demanding applications and new configurations.
The IGS1 features a single 18" woofer, while the IGS2 is equipped with two 18" neodymium woofers housed in a robust bass-reflex cabinet. The IGS1's 1600W RMS Class D amplifier ensures maximum reliability and impressive SPL levels, while the IGS2's powerful DSP-controlled dual amplifier section delivers up to 3200W of RMS power.
Both subwoofer systems are equipped with RDNet, allowing real-time control and monitoring via Aurora Net software (available for Windows and Mac). This software supports advanced configurations between the IGS1 and IGS2 models and allows seamless integration with INGENIA full-range systems. Notably, this is the first subwoofer series from dBTechnologies to support mixed subwoofer models in cardioid configurations.
The rugged IGS1 and IGS2 cabinets feature four built-in handles and a back panel for easy deployment and wheeled transport. A durable polyurea finish increases its strength and reliability in demanding environments.
