Selectable linear mono cardioid and mid-lateral stereo modes matrixed internally provide flexibility to focus the recording on a single sound source or to expand the field for great sound realism. In both modes, the AT8024 microphone offers much better audio than the camera's internal microphone.
In addition, the microphone comes equipped with a three-position adjustable input adapter (-20 dB, -10 dB, 0 dB) to capture even faint or very loud sound passages. The bass attenuation filter reduces the capture of unwanted ambient noise, room-specific reverberation and mechanical vibrations. The microphone is powered by an AA battery for optimal performance at maximum sound pressure levels and includes an integrated hot shoe that quickly mounts on DSLR cameras and hot shoe-equipped camcorders.
