The first thing to do when carrying out an installation of this type is good planning, so as to ensure a perfect functioning of the system once it is installed. To do this we must make sure that we will get to vacuum all the corners of the house, counting on the necessary suction sockets, a number that will depend on the dimensions of the house and the length of the flexible.
The ideal would be to place the sockets in common areas, with the aim of facilitating access to several rooms with the same socket, which allows us to cover as much surface as possible.
Then you must think about the suction plant, for which you must take into account the dimensions of the house, which will influence the number of sockets that will have to be installed. For example, to cover an area of about 400 m2 you will need about 7 sockets, which will require a central of about 1,500 W of power, while if the surface is about 500 m2, the plant should have a motor of about 1,800 W to feed the 11 sockets that would be needed.
In addition to taking into account the power, other characteristics of the plants must be analyzed, such as whether they are capable of sucking solids and liquids, or if they have the automatic discharge mechanism. If it has these properties it means that it can vacuum floors even if they are wet or damp, while the automatic discharge prevents us from coming into contact with dust and dirt.
After having chosen the most appropriate plant for our needs, we must choose the location of it. For this, the most advisable thing is to use a place in the house that is not used in the normal development of our life in the house, such as a garage, a closet, etc.
The chosen space must have a good air circulation, and otherwise to prevent the air from becoming vitiated, there must be a hole to the outside with dimensions greater than those of the tube that goes to the plant, so that it takes the air outlet of the same. This connection can be made with flexible had so that it is more comfortable, while the hole can be covered with a grid, in order to prevent the entry of small animals such as rodents.
For the installation of the suction plant, an electrical outlet appropriate to the consumption of the machine will be needed, which is located less than one meter from it. On the other hand, if the plant is located in a basement, the power outlet should be located one and a half meters from the ground, to avoid inconvenience in case of flooding.
Those plants with automatic discharge also require a water intake and drainage. The first should be 1/2 inch and should be less than half a meter from the machine, while the drain should have a diameter of about 50 millimeters.
