Global warming and the thinning of the ozone layer are two issues that we can no longer ignore. All the large companies are directing their productions in this direction, as in the case of the glasses with nanotechnology of the German company Huper Optik, which seek a solution to the problem of heat, applying a protection system against UV radiation and heat in their crystals.
The solution is simple when nanotechnology is applied, it is ceramic films that protect from solar radiation. The system is similar to others that are already used, it consists of adhering a very thin film to the glass, which acts as a barrier against heat and ultraviolet rays, in addition to controlling the incident light. These ultra-transparent films have very small and thin ceramic crystals attached, which act in a much more effective way than other metallized or inked films.
One of the qualities of these films is that they do not have metals or dyes, which frees us from the aging effect that the other laminates suffer, losing their metallic, their color or directly losing the sheets. As they are not metallic, we avoid the annoying mirror effect, which can cause serious disorders in the middle of the city. For this reason they are called clear optics.
Glasses with ceramic nanotechnology have the ability to block up to 99% of UV rays, so they exert protection on the upholstery, furniture and works of art found inside, which was not achieved before. But this is not the main point, the most important thing is the protection of the people and animals that are inside, avoiding damage to the skin and eyes.
Another advantage of these glasses is their transparency, which does not reduce visibility, although curtains or protective blinds are not necessary, except in rooms that require privacy. This allows us to save energy in cooling and lighting, since we can make the most of natural light.
