Musitempo was the integrator in charge of the audio solutions installed in the new Hilton hotel in the Dominican Republic.

In the City of La Romana, located in the Dominican Republic, the first hotel of the Hilton Garden Inn chain was built in this location, with an offer of City Hotel / Bed and Breakfast in the La Caleta sector. It is a hotel that has 130 rooms with views of Catalina Island and the Caribbean Sea, a swimming pool and a flexible meeting space with an outdoor terrace.
It also stands out for being owned by the renowned baseball player born there, Edwin Encarnación. In this new building, the owners wanted to have a distributed audio solution, sound reinforcement and public address. To this end, they appointed integrator Musitempo, who was in charge of the design and installation of these solutions, as well as a detection system implemented for crisis management purposes.
AVI Latin America spoke with Fernando Hernández Voigt, project director of the integrating firm, about the details and challenges of this integration. "I would say that the experience factor and trajectory of the accredited firm with the implementation of the project in the areas of technology, from networks, security, detection and AV, were the decisive factors that guaranteed the execution of this prestigious project," he said.
Installed Technology
Being a completely new building, the AV systems were designed from the ground up to make the most of space. "On this occasion, Musitempo specified the DSP systems of Atlas IED's Atmosphere series. Through the logical ports, we integrate the detection system in order to comply with global standards for crisis management. They were combined with LEA Professional's Connect Series of Amplifiers," added the representative of the integrating firm.
In addition, in the project they used Atlas speakers on ceiling, wall and mushroom type, and for the Garden speakers they used the Periscape series by Rocoustics. The entire system is complemented by Vantage control as well as the lighting control system. In this way, they achieved integration of AV systems under protocols on the Network and facilitating the use of the operators, with their autonomy.
"Both sound quality and ease of use have certainly been the most beneficial points for the customer. Last but not least, the wonderful remote monitoring advantage of LEA Professional's Connect Series amplification systems, which have been a great tool for support and adjustment during the hotel's start-up process," said Fernando Hernández Voigt.
Other spaces that were also intervened with audiovisual solutions were the meeting rooms, where sound reinforcement technologies were integrated for users and room combine. In addition to the Gym area, which can be managed independently for convenience purposes of the nature of the space.
Results
The executive stressed that the feedback from the user has been very satisfactory, who enjoys their technologies, maintaining their environments with the desired mood and knowing that they have unique resources to be able to face any situation and use audiovisual resources to safeguard the physical integrity of guests and collaborators.
