Panasonic installs integral AV solution at Unesco

International. As part of a collaboration agreement between the two organizations, Panasonic carried out the installation of an audiovisual solution at unesco headquarters located in Paris, France.

The installation of the audio and video equipment was carried out in Room 1, the main enclosure of the headquarters. This space has the capacity to accommodate around a thousand visitors and is commonly used as the venue for the organization's international conferences, where prime ministers and secretaries of state from around the world meet.

Due to the needs of image quality, live transmission of conferences or recording of them for documentation, Panasonic's AV solution is integrated by products that allow the recording and transmission of video in High Definition, such is the case of the AK-HC1800G multipurpose video cameras, the AV-HS450EJ multi-format mixer and the 20,000 lumens PT-DZ21KEJ 3-Chip projector.

As a complement to the solution, the AG-HPD24EJ P2 HD recorder-player allows live streaming or storage of the presentation for future transmissions.

The entire video system is operated via the AW-RP50E remote controller. Designed for live events and compact body, it is capable of controlling up to 100 cameras via IP and up to 5 robotic cameras, operated by a single person.

Ingrid Regien, CIO of Unesco mentioned "We are ready to organize international events or cultural presentations that can be recorded in High Definition or broadcast live with the same quality via streaming through different services or television channels.

Panasonic and Unesco over the years
Panasonic has collaborated with the UNESCO World Heritage Centre since 1995 with the creation and publication of the World Heritage Calendar, which aims to promote efforts to preserve the sites, which represent an invaluable and irreplaceable treasure for the world.

In 2011 the brand and the organization consummated an agreement to promote sustainable development through the conservation of the world heritage and environmental education for future generations. Through this partnership, Panasonic has promoted different corporate responsibility programs in the fields of Education for the Next Generations, Communication and Technology Support.

In the Education for the Next Generations program, Panasonic hosts the "World Heritage Eco Learning Program", which aims to support the dissemination and conservation of World Heritage sites, through activities and educational tools that teach children around the world about the importance of conserving the environment.

The "Eco Diary Picture Contest" is also part of the activities for education. In this contest children have the opportunity to express, through images created by themselves, the activities or tasks they carry out in their home or community to conserve the environment. This contest has given the opportunity to around 970,000 children from all over the world to express their ideas to create an ecological awareness in their environment.

In the field of Communication, Panasonic worked together with National Geographic for the development of the television program on World Heritage called "The World Heritage Special" which was broadcast in 193 countries around the world.

In the field of Technological Support, Panasonic has replaced the audiovisual equipment of the main office of Unesco with High Definition systems, both communication and video. In addition to this, a project was established to replace incandescent lighting with LED lighting in some offices of the organization such as Kiyomizu Temple in Kyoto, Japan and Hradcani Castle in Prague, Czech Republic.
