Chile. At the end of 2015, the company ICAPGlobal established its branch in Chile, as part of its expansion plan in the region, and from which it mainly serves the representation of some brands, both for the Chilean market and at the regional level.
In charge of this office is Andrés Vera, a professional with extensive experience in the audiovisual industry. He spoke with AVI LATINOAMÉRICA and told him some of the news that the company has in the first months.
He commented that "Little by little we have been gaining a space, establishing relationships with the channel. That's why, a month ago we opened our showroom, in which we are showing the latest news from the brands we represent."
Today there are five brands that ICAP Global offers in the Chilean market: wePresent (wireless collaborative presentation system), Evoko (scheduling systems), Sharp (line of professional monitors), Sennheiser (Bizcomm line) and Avonic (PTZ cameras).
The showroom is located in the commune of Providencia, in a new building close to the main business centers and has direct access from the Cristóbal Colón metro station.
Andrés Vera stressed that although ICAP Global is recognized for the integration of AV and IT, in Chile the company will initially dedicate itself to the distribution of products, receiving all the engineering support from the main office in Argentina, where they have certifications and the know-how to provide a good service to their customers.
"In our plans within the Chilean market is mainly to earn a place within the channel. Today we are experiencing strong growth with the IT channel rather than with the AV channels, many of them we advise on engineering and design issues. And we recently linked Claudia Castro to our local team," he added.
ICAP Global is currently a member of GPA (Global Presence Alliance) and is one of the two companies in Latin America belonging to this select group within Infocomm International.
