Mexico. The Mexican chain Cinemex has installed christie's first RGB laser projector in the country in the Mundo E complex in Mexico City. The installed system is a Christie Solaria CP42LH 3DLP 4K RGB laser projector in 3P configuration, a colorful and ultra-bright solution for large screens.
Relying on the Christie Freedom laser lighting platform, the CP42LH produces a color spectrum that goes beyond the DCI P3 color space and matches the Rec. 2020, features that make it the most advanced RGB laser cinema projection system on the market.
The room where the projector has been installed has a giant screen of 23 x 9.60 meters, has 436 seats and 19 boxes, and is equipped for 3D with the RealD system. The projection system has been equipped with seven laser modules to generate 35,000 lumens – each module can generate up to 5,000 lumens of white light.
But the scalability of the platform makes it possible to add, remove, activate or deactivate with ease and depending on the brightness needs up to a dozen modules, with the possibility, therefore, of producing up to 60,000 lumens. In addition, each laser module has independent cooling, which protects the system from failures improving its efficiency and providing it with great reliability.
