Latin America. Two of Matrox Graphics' newest products, the Matrox Maevex 6150 quad 4K enterprise encoder and the Extio 3 IP KVM extender, each received the Best of Show award at InfoComm 2017 from AV Technology magazines and Sound & Video Contractor.
Making its North American debut at InfoComm, the Extio 3 IP KVM extender received wide industry approval, with sound & Video Contractor magazine judges awarding it the award for best show and noticing the lack of discernible latency in an IP KVM product. Highlighting the flexible nature of a 4K-capable KVM product operating over standard 1GB networks, the judges indicated how essential the Extio 3 is by simply stating that it's "just what you need."
The Maevex 6150 4K encoder, Matrox's latest in the Maevex line of H.264 encoding devices, was similarly supplemented by AV Technology magazine. Considering the extensive set of encoding options available — including simultaneous 4K/UHD streaming and recording, as well as 4:4:4 sub-sampling support — the judges called the Maevex 6150 a "solid build" and "easy to use."
"Along with the extremely positive feedback we received at the show, these awards are further validation of the level of dedication and innovation our engineering team brings to all of our products," said Dave Chiappini, Vice President of Research at Matrox & Design. "AV-over-IP is a fast-moving industry, and we are happy to be able to offer a line of products that stand out from the crowd."
