Latin America. Powersoft's Quattrocanali DSP+D 4-channel rack amplifier, designed for installations and featuring digital signal processing, has received a nomination for Outstanding Technical Achievement in the Sound Reinforcement & Studio Amplification Hardware category at the 33rd Annual NAMM Awards for Creativity & Technical Excellence.
"We are proud to receive a TEC Award nomination for the Quattrocanali DSP+D, an exciting amplifier that completes our popular Installation Series," said Francesco Fanicchi, Head of Brand and Communications at Powersoft.
Presented by the NAMM Foundation, the TEC Awards are the most prestigious awards in the professional audio and musical instrument industries, celebrating the spirit of innovation and honoring best-in-class products in the professional audio community. Following a two-month nominee call, a panel composed of audio and production leaders carefully evaluated each nominee before selecting the Quattrocanali DSP+D. The winners will be announced at a handover ceremony during the NAMM Show in Anaheim, California, on January 27.
The Quattrocanali DSP+D amplifier completes the line of amplifiers for fixed installation consisting of Powersoft's Ottocanali and Duecanali amplifiers. Operating with both high and low impedance systems and available in configurations presenting 300, 600 or 1200 watts per channel within a compact cabinet of a rack unit, Quattrocanali DSP+D can be equipped with sufficient power for demanding medium-sized applications, or reduced to offer optimal operation for smaller applications such as retail spaces and leisure centers.
Quattrocanali is available in DSP and standard version. The DSP-free version offers master and channel volume control, mute, high power filters at 35 and 70 Hz, remote ON/OFF, alarms, low and high impedance channel selection and basic Ethernet control via Harmony software. Extended remote operation is guaranteed by the dedicated GPIO. The DSP+Dante version also has deep control via Harmony software and features four Dante input channels.
Presented by the NAMM Foundation, the awards were created to celebrate the best in professional sound and audio production. The winners will be announced on the evening of Saturday, January 27, 2018, in the Pacific Room of the Anaheim Hilton Hotel and via live streaming of the event.
This is the second year in a row that Powersoft has received a nomination in this category, following Deva's nomination last year.
