Latin America. Powersoft launched the radically redesigned ArmoníaPlus, an interface geared solely to ArmoníaPlus speakers that mimics the real-world and physical process of audio design with a workflow that is both simple to use and easy to navigate.
ArmoníaPlus has been rethought and completely redesigned to be the most efficient audio design environment on the market today, bringing users from system design to show through a simplified guided workflow. Users will feel completely comfortable thanks to the design of ArmoníaPlus. In a controlled environment via intuitive shortcuts and simple icons, users will wander between functions in an efficient time mode so simple to navigate that it will set a new standard in the industry.
The ArmoníaPlus interface features a single window with four main views: Workspace, System List, Operator View, and Events. Work Area is where all the main action takes place – a natural environment where system engineers can plan and work. The workspace is divided into two parts, where amplifiers occupy the left side and speakers the right side. Users can swipe through four main steps: Design, Setup, Adjustment, and Display, each offering a variety of features. Once the Link function is completed, operations can be performed directly from the speaker. Testing different presets is as easy as selecting the speakers to be controlled, so your app can be modified through the Fit:Preset page.
The design and all control is visually intuitive. Amplifiers can be added directly to the rack, while speakers can be grouped vertically and horizontally, as would be expected in the physical field. Groups of speakers can be 'joined' so that when linking the amplifiers, an algorithm will auto-select the next item, based on proximity, model and position on the screen, as well as avoid manual errors.
The creation of advanced speaker groups offers the possibility to adjust Gain, Delay, Polarity and Equalization (EQ). The redesigned graphical interface provides information that is simple to understand. The new Fit:EQ page allows users to monitor the overall curve applied to each speaker, including countless groups. A special Headroom meter adapts its LEDs based on the speaker's own limiters, showing a simple view of how the boxes are being handled.
The interface is designed to avoid sub-menus, with each function available via a right click or a shortcut. Operations that can take users down a laborious path of mouse clicks have now been simplified. To place the amplifiers in static IP mode, for example, simply select the device and ArmoníaPlus will designate the available addresses progressively, starting from the desired position one. Turning off the subs is achieved from a single slider or selection to reset the bass.
ArmoníaPlus simplifies sound design. Each part of a sound system project can be exported as a "template" - a block to form a larger system - that can be replicated in the Work Area as required.
Powersoft is always advancing with its technology and has introduced several innovative features. One of them is Shading, which will be highly appreciated by engineers.
With the Shading function, ArmoníaPlus can reduce the gain threshold and the speaker limiter coherently, maintaining the balance between the elements, even if the system is limiting. This means the end of failed scattering patterns, caused by the loss of relative gain adjustment when the sound system is pushed to the limit.
Although users already experienced in Armonía will be able to quickly adapt to the new version, ArmoníaPlus will not be reintegrated with the previous version. According to Powersoft's strategy, the new version of the software can coexist with the previous version, allowing users to become familiar with the workflow of the new design over time.
