Colombia. The Simón Bolívar Park was the venue for a traditional celebration known as the "Night of the Candles", a practice that, since 1854, has been carried out in different parts of Colombia to honor the Immaculate Virgin and, in turn, marks the beginning of the Christmas festivities.
This year, the Mayor's Office of Bogotá, through the District Institute of Recreation and Sport (IDRD), held a large free event that included a candle-lighting ceremony and a great concert with the performance of the Clara Luna Choir and a spectacular closing with the Colombian singer Maía.
The Bogota company Audio Daz, specialized in the assembly and audiovisual production of large-scale events, used its newly acquired ShowMatch DeltaQ system to provide clear, intelligible and high sound pressure sound to the almost 25,000 attendees who gathered at the celebrations.

The installation of the system, designed with the help of Bose Modeler software, consisted of two main arrays of 12 ShowMatch modules each, accompanied by two other side clusters – placed 30 meters from the main ones – composed of 10 speakers each. This configuration was complemented by 30 SMS118 subwoofers, divided into two side sets of eight subwoofers per side, and a central arch with 14 teams that gave an important sound reinforcement to the bass tones.
With this system, an approximate area of 18,000 square meters was covered (with a shot of 100 meters long, from the stage to the deepest part of the stands), with uniform sound that reached every corner of this outdoor enclosure with the same clarity. It should be noted that this was not the first time that Audio Daz and its technical team worked with the ShowMatch teams and their DeltaQ acoustic directionality technology, as they had previously used it in concerts in the regions of Tocancipá and Villanueva Casanare, also in Colombia, the latter including the participation of the Mexican group Los Tigres del Norte.
