Latin America. 40% of the world's electricity consumption comes from lighting, and in Mexico this sector represents 18%. According to the IEA – International Energy Agency, buildings and constructions are responsible for 36% of this global energy consumption and 40% of total CO2 emissions.
The replacement of incandescent or fluorescent lamps with LED light systems brings widely known advantages, especially when analyzed from the point of view of energy consumption, performance, quality and price.

The presenter will be Omar Castillo, field product manager GE Current Latam. He is an engineer in Communications and Electronics graduated from the National Polytechnic Institute and with an MBA with a specialty in Marketing from the Universidad del Valle de México. He has fifteen years of experience in the world of lighting in different positions in marketing and sales, collaborating with companies such as Cooper Lighting, Philips and GE Lighting.
