Latin America. NEC launched its new, advanced ultra-short-range UM383WL projector. The UM383WL will stand out in the NEC Display line of projectors as the first product to take advantage of HLD LED technology as a light source. HLD LED is a lampless solid-state technology that offers excellent brightness, color accuracy, and image vitality.
The UM383WL uses AN LCD optics, provides A WXGA resolution (1280x800), 3800 lumens of brightness and is capable of producing an exceptionally large image that is diagonal to 130 inches from less than three feet away from the screen. The projector's light source lasts up to 20,000 hours, and HLD LED technology streamlines maintenance and eliminates the need to replace lamps.
The projector is also designed for quick start along with instant shutdown and includes a wired network to allow administrative control with remote monitoring. The UM383WL is offered in two packages: as a standalone unit or included with NEC's NP06WK1 wall mount.
The unique design of the UM383WL provides flexibility for installers. The projector offers optical zoom and lens shift that allow it to adjust as needed to fill the screen properly. More digital adjustments can be made with keystone, cornerstone and pin correction.
"We set out to create a projector that would offer the flexible, low-maintenance solution our customers require without compromising on the amazing image quality we promise in all of our products," said Ryan Pitterle, Product Manager. "The UM383WL projector meets these two requirements and will be an advantage for presenters and educators."
The UM383WL allows presenters to interact more with their projected content. With NEC's new ultra-short range projector, presenters can stand close to the image without having a bright light in their eyes or cast a shadow over the projected image. The UM383WL enhances a student's learning experience and an educator's ability to teach, and is especially suitable for classroom applications.
