Christie's pure laser RGB projectors have helped to make the launch of a Delta IV Heavy rocket from the United Launch Alliance (ULA) at Cape Canaveral engraved in the memory of those who contemplated, on the occasion of its takeoff, the first 3D mapping in history projected on a rocket in operation.
The projection, carried out by PaintScaping, involved up to six D4K40-RGB all-in-one projectors, with capacity for 45,000 ISO lumens, supplied by the rental expert Nationwide Video. For a private event before the launch commissioned by the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), PaintScaping was projecting images along the almost 72 meters that measures the façade of the ship.
