Chile. The television station Canal 13 of Chile recently premiered its current affairs program #Tudia, which runs daily from 08:00 – 12:00 hours on the air and for which they support themselves with the largest LED screen on Chilean television.
Its main screen of 15m wide x 3m high with a resolution of 8100 x 1620 pixels is complemented by a second screen of 5m wide x 2m high with a resolution of 2700 x 1080 pixels.
The ULW 1.8mm pitch product was chosen for this high-resolution screen, which has an extremely low latency rate which makes it ideal for broadcast environments, added to the high contrast and grayscale that allow an image with European standard never before seen in the local environment.
The selection process was quite demanding. It not only required an integrator with vast experience in the television market, but a manufacturer of LED screens that supported it with first-line products, being able to present a complete and complex project in record time, with implementation and execution in 30 days after the signed contract.
Unilumin, together with its partner VGL from Chile, complied with all the requirements of Channel 13, with consultative sales and a first-class technical team, giving the necessary confidence to the end customer to make this level of investments. The start-up was carried out in record time, coping with all the current transport and logistics inconveniences that are affecting the industry.
