Latin America. Legrand's Building Control Systems (BCS) division introduced a new name for its QMotion brand of sunscreen solutions: Legrand Shading Systems. The new brand will streamline Legrand's product offering by bringing together the company's commercial and residential sunscreen solutions under one roof.
In addition, it gives distributors a one-stop shop and greater access to new products. The first of these is Legrand Shading Systems' Designer series of decorative supports and bar finishes, available in a wide range of finishes to suit the unique style of any space.
"QMotion has a rich history in the residential curtain industry. Over the years, we pride ourselves on our commitment to product innovation and superior service, and that won't change with our new name," said Amy Hahne, vice president and general manager of Residential and Shading Controls in Legrand, North America.
He added, "Everything our distributors love about QMotion will remain under the Legrand Shading Systems brand, but we now have the full force of Legrand's resources behind us. For our distributors, the result is convenient access to exciting new products across our organization."
The first new products to be launched under the Legrand Shading Systems brand are designer series decorative brackets and crossbar covers. Designed to fit 2.6- and 3.3-inch universal and open-roll adjustable brackets, the decorative brackets slide easily to completely hide mounting brackets from the outside without interfering with the mounting surface. The Hem end caps of the Designer series offer a modern and redesigned shape to complete the look and provide a uniform finish.
To perfectly match the aesthetics of any space down to the last detail, the designer series decorative brackets and arm end caps are available in 15 new finishing styles in three collections: Premium, Glass and Adorne. Premium finishes offer clean lines and match in colour with Legrand's wiring devices, while ornate finishes perfectly complement the switches and outlets in Legrand's ornate collection. The glass finishes are inspired by the Vantage EasyTouch Glass keyboard and offer a mirror-like reflective surface. Dealers can easily showcase the 15 finishes to their customers with the handy new decorative cap demonstration case.
