Argentina. The Kirchner Cultural Center recently inaugurated, on the second floor of its headquarters, an immersive room with extensive audio and video technology, integrated by Digital Projections.
The room is equipped with fourteen projectors, a sound system of twenty-four speakers and a specially designed acoustic coating, which generates a feeling of immersion in an enveloping environment through projections throughout the space and the use of sound spatialization techniques.
In this large place of two hundred square meters and six meters high, local artists will exhibit their works in a format that gives the public a new way to approach, feel and enjoy artistic productions, and to complete the sensory experience from the sound and audiovisual pieces that surround the spectators.
The surround sound device of this new room will allow to discover new details of the sample and complete the sensory experience through the spatialization of the musical works and the use of multitrack recordings.
Inauguration
The inauguration of this room was attended by the President of Argentina Alberto Fernández, the Minister of Culture Tristán Bauer. The programming of the room is framed within the Piazzolla 100 exhibition, so the event was also attended by relatives of Astor Piazzolla.
The exhibition was created in 2021 during the tribute for the centenary of the birth of the composer and bandoneonist, organized around the key moments of his musical creation and his biography.
