Panasonic celebrated its 100th anniversary in Mexico

Mexico. At an event organized at the World Trade Center in Mexico City, Panasonic celebrated the centenary of the company's founding and, locally, Panasonic de Mexico reaches 40 years of operations in the country.

As part of the celebration, the Japanese company presented a comprehensive exhibition in which it presents the most significant events in its history, emblematic products, new technologies for use in the home or company, and innovative solutions for the industry and business of the near future.

The Panasonic 100th Anniversary exhibition recalled the ideas of innovation, creativity, social and environmental commitment, as well as the concepts of corporate philosophy that distinguish the company founded by Konosuke Matsushita in 1918, in Osaka, Japan.

In addition, faithful to the legacy of its founder, Panasonic took advantage of this event to send a message of gratitude to Mexican society for the trust received by accepting the company's products, allowing it to do business and generate jobs in the country.

Divided into six large conceptual spaces, the exhibition welcomed visitors with a sample of the founding history, the Matsushita philosophy, Corporate Social Responsibility policies and care for the environment, in addition to the significant collaboration alliance with the Olympic Games. This first area culminates in a futuristic vision of the technology Panasonic develops for sustainable cities and autonomous vehicles.

At the center of the exhibit was a digital tree representing the huge pine tree that shaded Konosuke Matsushita's family home in the small village of Wasamura, south of Osaka. This tree was the heart of the exhibition symbolizing both the solidity and the constant growth of the company.

A loft apartment equipped with modern appliances, personal care products, audio systems and televisions exemplifies the consumer electronics business in the third area of the exhibition.

Three more spaces, dedicated to technological solutions for the professional world, complemented the tour. He highlighted a hybrid model of convenience store and fast food restaurant in which Panasonic demonstrated its advances in digital self-service kiosks, point-of-sale units, security, lighting, digital signage, refrigeration and other systems to improve the consumer experience.

In the fifth space, the audiovisual tools for the processes of creation and dissemination of content, as well as digital communication and information management, were exhibited. High-performance video projectors, broadcast-quality cameras, unified communications systems and heavy-duty computers are some of the products available.

It is no coincidence that the exhibition concluded in the area dedicated to solutions for the manufacturing industry, since Panasonic in a company that carries in its DNA the gene of production. This sixth zone showed energy generation, management and saving technologies, air extraction systems, lighting, machinery for industrial processes and production lines, as well as a wide range of microcomponents.

Local and global overview
