International. INTE was the company in charge of installing the DAS Audio systems in the new theater of the Amman Academy, a solution that guarantees an integral sound in this new meeting space with a capacity of 437 seats and a multipurpose space for meetings.
It is noteworthy that the company International New Technical Est (INTE) in charge of the installation, is a systems integrator specialized in theatrical installations, was hired to realize the vision of the academy located in Jordan.
This study center is recognized as a prestigious school for more than 30 years, so this project had an ambitious vision from the beginning, since the space of the is a new building that was built as part of the expansion of the offer for students and also as a commercial use.
Specific needs
The Amman Academy required a versatile and world-class theater, equipped with the latest audiovisual technology and the best lighting, since its objective was to create a space that could immerse the public in any type of work and, above all, that could adapt to the different needs of each show.
In addition, a multipurpose space was needed that could be used by staff and visitors for meetings or as a rest area. For all this, the choice of sound systems was important.
It also highlighted the need for sound quality, while the chosen systems should meet characteristics of versatility and ease of use.
The theatre
The main sound system in the Amman Academy Theatre is composed of four Aero-20A and Aero-20 12A, as well as four Artec 5-8A speakers as frontfil. The system is supported by four LX-118A line array subwoofers and 12- and 15-inch Road speakers.
"The sound distribution is surprising, as the difference between the first and last row is less than 3dB: the human ear can't even detect this difference. The sound is exceptionally clear and for a theatre that hosts performances or musicians, this is one of the most important things. DASAim technology has been used to optimize SPL distribution, hue and frequency response throughout the public area. Audio is distributed via Cat7 cable and managed by DASNet software and the DSP 2060 A."
Álvaro Plumed, engineer of DAS Audio, was in charge of the design and optimization of the sound system of the theater of the academy of Amman, achieving a surprising result.
Multipurpose Room
Next to the theatre is the multi-purpose hall of the Amman Academy, designed so that the theatre team can hold meetings of up to 75 people. In this, eight CL6T speakers and two ARTEC 315.96 speakers were installed on the ceiling and wall, supported by PA1500 and PA900 amplifiers.
To conclude it is important to note that INTE successfully completed a project with a high level of quality, providing the academy with a reliable, durable sound installation that offers the best sound quality.
