Mexico. The emblematic buildings of the Municipal Presidency and the Environmental Education Center "La Libélula", in León, Guanajuato, were illuminated on December 1 and 2, with the creative works of university students translated into the mapping in the fifth edition of the León Light Fest 2022, which was held under the theme "The history of cinema".
The festival, which was held for the fifth time, supports university students from different entities so that they can continue to strengthen their creativity and contribute to their future employability.
The students who participated in the León Light Fest 2022 presented a three- to five-minute piece taking elements, scenes or characters that could be the inspiration for their mapping works.
This year's edition was attended by 245 university students from 10 higher education institutions from seven entities of the Mexican Republic, including Guanajuato, San Luis Potosí, State of Mexico and CDMX.
The León Light Fest is an urban intervention event based on the disciplines of visual and audiovisual arts for university students. Through free comprehensive training of knowledge such as: visual arts, animation, digital, graphic design and sound creations, 80 pieces of video mapping have been projected in different monumental spaces of León, Guanajuato.
The jury defined the best works on December 2. The works of the festival were screened in both venues on December 3 and 4. Epson's participation in this project shows the commitment that the company feels for the university community and the artistic community, offering different options for them to exploit their creativity in an audiovisual way on any surface with greater precision and image quality.
