Latin America. 5 years ago, Danillo Bomfim materialized its idea to bring high-end AV brands to the Latin market, taking advantage of its experience of more than 20 years in the Brazilian audiovisual industry. That's how AV Hub, based in Florida, was born.
Taking advantage of the company's anniversary, AVI Latin America spoke with Danillo Bomfim, who recalled the beginnings, the experience gathered in the industry and the vision it has for the coming years.
- What is your balance sheet for the first five years of operation of AV Hub?
Danillo Bomfim: AV HUB was a project started by me with the proposal to expand the Professional Audio and Video distribution business that we already had in the Brazilian market and bring all the experience of more than 20 years in the AV market to Latin America. As always, providing solutions, because as is our motto, we don't just move boxes, we provide the complete solution for our partners.
With the help of our manufacturing partners, such as: Datapath, Btech, RTI, MTC, Polywall, MediaStar, we managed to expand our business to Latin America through our office in Miami, where the company's headquarters are located.
- Does AV Hub have operations outside Latin America?
Danillo Bomfim: Yes, AV HUB in these 5 years has expanded the business beyond the initial project and today we have 6 offices: United Kingdom, Middle East, Poland, Brazil and Holland and in the coming months we will expand the operation to Australia, Canada and India
- Which are the strongest Latin American countries for your business?
Danillo Bomfim: Today our largest markets in Latin America are: Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Chile
- According to your experience, which are the sectors of the AV industry with the most projects?
Danillo Bomfim: Our sectors are the corporate and residential markets, within these: meeting rooms and boardrooms, control rooms, auditoriums, digital signage, home automation and commercial. We have a wide range of manufacturers and products to be the distributor with which our partner can be attended in everything you need for your project.
Our intention is always to deliver the complete project to our partner so that you do not need to have several suppliers and thus have all the support and support of our team.
- Since 2021, tech industries are experiencing equipment shortages. Are your brands affected? Is this situation recovering?
Danillo Bomfim: Like all distributors, at first we suffered a bit with the lack of equipment on the market. However, as we have a very close relationship with partners and manufacturers, we managed to overcome all problems. We always keep products in our stock so that we can be a fast company also in logistics.
Today the situation is back to normal and we no longer lack any equipment, so we can take care of our partners as quickly as we have always done.
- What are the company's plans for the coming years?
Danillo Bomfim: AV HUB is becoming a global distributor and as I mentioned earlier, we have plans to expand in the coming months to other territories so that we can serve more and more partners.
In all offices we have a team of people with a lot of experience in the Audio and Video market and with excellent relationships with local partners.
