Crestron launched wireless presentation solution

crestron

Latin America. Crestron introduced the AirMedia Connect Adaptor, a one-touch plug-and-play wireless presentation solution for wireless conferencing.

As Microsoft announced in its Enterprise Connect 2023 keynote, Crestron and Microsoft will launch an AirMedia collaboration package for Microsoft Teams software that will bring BYOD and Microsoft Teams meetings to more spaces.

The AirMedia Connect adapter is the only Microsoft-optimized dongle for wireless collaboration, eliminating the need for a presentation and conferencing application, and extending and simplifying BYOD meeting solutions.

Enabling BYOD collaboration
BYOD is one of the top requests from organizations that want an easy way to bring meeting capabilities to smaller or non-traditional collaboration spaces where they may not want to deploy a full third-party collaboration infrastructure. The AirMedia Connect adapter works with multiple platforms for added flexibility, but the variation of Microsoft Teams software adds even more convenience for organizations that have chosen a standard meeting platform.

At the push of a button, users can instantly join virtual meeting participants using the device of their choice while taking advantage of high-quality audio and video peripherals in the room.

When used for wireless presentations, the AirMedia Connect adapter enables content streaming in up to 4K/30p, so users never have to worry about their image or video quality being affected. What's more, all streamed content uses encryption, so guests won't have to worry about using new networks and hosts won't have to worry about unwanted intrusions.

With its wireless presentation capability and upcoming wireless conferencing functionality, the AirMedia Connect adapter increases meeting efficiency and productivity by allowing for greater choice in device type, meeting format, and location, each of which is an increasingly relevant factor as businesses navigate back to the office. Simply plug the AirMedia Connect adapter into the USB-C® connector on the local device, use the quick tap and present buttons, or hold a conference without installing additional software or adjusting user access.

Your gateway to better meetings
For Microsoft Teams users who are constantly moving to and from their office, the AirMedia Connect adapter will optimize their BYOD experience in the workplace. Where Crestron's core room technologies are in place, AirMedia collaboration technology integrates natively to create a robust and intelligent experience: occupancy sensors to activate the room, touchscreens to manage schedules and controls, and the Crestron DigitalMedia™ platform to enable presentation and cable content. distribution, without the hassle of an extensive programming in each room.

As with all Crestron devices, provisioning and management of AirMedia devices can be done remotely with contactless provisioning through the Crestron XiO Cloud management system, which can also be used to deploy firmware updates, keeping the system updated without the need for new installations or hardware replacements.
