Latin America. Global Talent Services (GTS), the Latin artist services agency, has named Narcís Rebollo as CEO & President of GTS, effective immediately. GTS becomes an independent company, with its management and operation now managed independently of UMG's local record labels.
In this new role, Rebollo will assume leadership of GTS overseeing its global operations and divisions in the United States, Latin America, Spain and Portugal. Based in Madrid, he will report directly to Jesús López, Chairman/CEO, Universal Music Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula. More details about the appointments of directors at Universal Music Iberian Peninsula will be announced soon.
Conceived by Jesús López, Global Talent Services was born in 2007 and since then has evolved to become the leading Latin agency of services for artists, focused on management, booking, promotion and brands, with offices in eight countries, driving the global success of its artists and more than tripling its business in the last ten years.
Rebollo has been President of Universal Music Peninsula Ibérica since 2015, responsible for the operations of UMG's music division and that of GTS in Spain and Portugal. Under his leadership, the company has successfully expanded to include (booking and promotion) concerts, tours, festivals, live events and commercial audiovisual recordings. GTS artists include stars such as David Bisbal, David Bustamante, Pablo López, Morat, Lola Indigo, Aitana, Camila Fernández, Ela Taubert, Joaquina, Lauana Prado, Felipe Araujo and Leo Santana, among others.
Rebollo began his career in his native Barcelona, in the independent music company Divucsa. He then moved to BMG, where he was responsible for marketing and promotion in the Catalonia region before being appointed general manager of independent EDM label Max Music in 1995. He was a founding partner and vice president of the independent music company Vale Music, focused on EDM, as well as acclaimed television formats such as Operación Triunfo. After joining Universal Music Spain in 2006 following the acquisition of Vale Music, he was promoted through different areas of the company, holding positions of Director of New Business and GTS, as well as Managing Director, before being appointed President of Universal Music Iberian Peninsula, his most recent role.
Rebollo holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Higher Institute of Marketing (ISM) in Barcelona.
In making the announcement, Jesus Lopez said, "Narcís is one of the most experienced executives in Latin music. His vision of business changes and the expansion of Latin music around the world in recent years has led him to create a very successful team in Spain and Portugal in the areas of management, booking, promotion and brands. GTS was born with the vocation of being a 360° agency of services for artists and the time has come for it to become an independent business unit within the UMG structure. Without a doubt, Narcís is the perfect leader to undertake the growth of GTS globally.
I want to thank Narcis and his team for their great contribution to the music division of the Iberian Peninsula and wish him every success in his new responsibility."
Narcís Rebollo commented: "It is a great challenge, a responsibility and an honour for me to lead GTS in all markets. Throughout my career I have always been motivated by the connection with artists, the engine of our industry. Today more than ever, our artists need companies that focus their strategy from Management with the commitment and ability to give them a global service. The current great moment of live and the enormous influence of artists as great prescribers of society in all areas, require solid companies with teams capable of providing the best service. I want to thank Jesús López for this opportunity and my entire team at Universal Music Spain and Portugal for sharing these exciting years in our constant evolution as a company, convinced that they will continue to reap new and great successes in this new stage".
