The high definition signal 1080i feeds the systems of giant LED screens in the sports venues and in the BC Place Stadium, where the inauguration was held and the closing will be made, a place that has three LED screens of 243m2, 1.4 times larger than those used in the Olympic Games of Inviero Torino 2006.
Likewise, coaches and athletes can communicate through a high-definition videoconferencing system that links the Olympic Villages of Vancouver and Whistler, where athletes are housed, avoiding the transfer of people from one city to another, optimizing time and resources by avoiding the use of transport vehicles.
