The first week of March 2010, InfoComm held an academic session in which industry professionals were updated on some novel concepts that are beginning to reach the region and become part of everyday life.Those attending the academic day caught up with talks on digital networks of audio and control applied to professional audio systems, LED technology and its applications, and lighting control in audiovisual design.
The integration of audiovisual systems in homes and offices was one of the points on which both participants and speakers agreed when talking about the development of the sector, especially since this trend could become the industry standard, since equipment and systems are increasingly affordable, as mentioned by Carlos Otero, sales manager of Central and South America of Crestron.
The development of communications and its reach in all social spheres was another of the important issues raised at this event, on this aspect, Rodrigo Casassus Coke, regional director for Latin America and the Caribbean of InfoComm International, said that audiovisual systems are not a matter of few, and that they facilitate communication between individuals.
This, the first joint day held by InfoComm International, will take place in other Latin American cities in the coming years.
