Brazil. Level 3 Communications, Inc., announced the signing of an agreement with Cinemark Brazil, to improve the efficiency of Cinemark's communication systems, providing the company with internet services in São Paulo, to support connectivity to its VPN (virtual private network) of the 64 cinema complexes, distributed in 36 Brazilian cities.
Headquartered in the United States and present in 12 other countries, the Cinemark network landed in Brazil in 1997. The company uses Level 3's internet services to optimize online communication and its corporate systems. The network has the ability to simultaneously support all Cinemark cinemas throughout 16 Brazilian states, while maintaining optimal performance.
"Level 3's network connectivity and high-quality communications services allow us to provide each of our Cinemark complexes with a faster Internet connection, which improves overall productivity," said Vinicius Capretz, IT infrastructure coordinator at Cinemark Brazil.
