Latin America. The manufacturer of projectors and slates Hitachi, aims at the countries of Central and South America for the growth of its sales in the coming years. Therefore, it is looking for distributors that will allow it to meet that goal.
Jorge Biatturi, sales director for Latin America, explained to AVI LATIN AMERICA that they want to have a greater presence in countries such as Bolivia, Paraguay, Ecuador and Central America, which are not the big markets but are in need of new technologies and AV solutions that Hitachi has the capacity to supply.
When asked why to focus on these markets, Jorge Biatturi said that "for Hitachi all countries are important and add to the sales goal. One example is that they chose a sales director for Latin America who is based in Uruguay, a very small country from which he serves the entire region."
He added that Hitachi seeks to have an exclusive distributor for each country, who can perform a serious and dedicated job with the support of the factory, achieving a win-win relationship for both.
As part of this support to distributors and integrators who work with Hitachi teams, the company held a meeting last week in Mexico attended by representatives of 54 companies from all over the country, which were able to learn about the latest news of the company. The event was attended by Ray Soltys, sales director of Hitachi America, and Michihiko Setogawa, vice president and product manager for the continent.
On the distribution of its clients in the region, Jorge Biattyri indicated that 60% is in governments, while the remaining 40% is in private ones.
