Latin America. Optoma reached the top spot in the DLP 1080p projector market in 2014, according to the latest study by PMA Research. The company achieved this place for DLP 1080p projector units sold in North and South America in 2014.
The PMA Research report also revealed that in Q4 2014, Optoma took the highest selling spot in the continent's two largest countries: the United States and Brazil, for North and South America, respectively.
In the second half of 2014, Optoma expanded its 1080p product line by adding several models with comprehensive features and advanced technologies that address multiple market segments.
The HD26, HD141X, GT1080, HD161X, HD1009, EH200ST and HD50 have all been well perceived in the market and have built the foundation of Optoma's leadership. Among these, the HD141X is the number one selling model in the entire North American projector market.
"Optoma increasingly recognizes the market's desire for strong 1080p imaging and has met this need with high quality and affordable 1080p DLP projectors with technological advancements that far exceed LCD technology," said Jon Grødem, Senior Director of Product Management.
