International. Sennheiser was recognized with three awards at this year's edition of the iF Design Awards competition. The new wireless hearing aid models RS 175, RS 185 and RS 195, as well as the intraaural hearing aids of the audio specialist CX 1.00, CX 2.00, CX 3.00 and CX 5.00, received the iF Label in the product design category.
One of the outstanding proposals of the event, the Urbanite range of Sennheiser, received the iF gold award. In total, 53 members of the international jury evaluated 4,783 contributions from 53 countries in five categories.
The gold award was presented to Sennheiser during the iF Design Awards ceremony, held at the BMW Welt in Munich. Commenting on the award, Oliver Berger, Global Design Manager at Sennheiser said; "We are very proud to have received this award as the iF gold award is only given to the best of the year's proposals. The recognition of the jury's experts confirms our belief that URBANITE is more than a fashion product."
Sennheiser's new RS models, RS 175, RS 185, and RS 195, were awarded the iF Label in the product design category. The jury highlighted the range created for wireless digital home audio which debuted at CES 2105 in Las Vegas. The headphones and transmitters, which were designed in conjunction with Kiel-based design studio Brennwald Design, feature a discreet, high-quality aesthetic that aligns form and function in a sleek black.
The design of headphones with headphones that fully cover the ear provides comfort levels for extended periods of use, making them the companion for home audio and video systems.
Sennheiser's CX 1.00, CX 2.00, CX 3.00 and CX 5.00 intraaural hearing aids were also awarded the iF Label. Made for users who demand extraordinary sound quality and comfort when listening to music on mobile devices, the range delivers excellent sound in a lightweight, portable design. All CX hearing aids feature a range of four sizes of ear adapters, which fit perfectly. The range was designed in collaboration with NextOfKin Creatives.
