Brazil. BroadSign International, LLC, is driving the launch of Flix Media Corporation in Central and South America. The advertising network is owned by Cinemark Holdings, Inc., a leader in North and South American movie theaters.
As of December 2014, the BroadSign platform had been installed on 542 screens in 69 locations. In 2015, the network expects the installation of an additional 800 screens in movie theaters and commercial spaces.
DLP projectors are used for cinema screens, while LCD and LED screens facilitate signaling with video walls in external areas. The BroadSign Xpress Smart Player complete digital signage solution from Flix Media, powerful enough to complement projection and flat screen requirements.
The 61 million customers who visit Flix Medios cinemas each year are exposed to 15 minutes of content before each show at the scheduled time. The content consists of entertainment, such as behind the scenes of the film, curiosities, event promotion and advertising that is relevant to the audience of each type of film.
