Panasonic launched product range for commercial lighting

Mexico. Panasonic reported on the availability in Mexico of its new product line for the commercial lighting industry. It is a wide range of components manufactured by Universal Lighting Technologies, a subsidiary of Panasonic Corporation since 2007.

Among the novelties of Panasonic highlights the EVERLINE family of products with LED technology such as WallPack, Vapor Tight and LED Retrofit Kits. These equipment are added to the rest of the line that has been marketed in the country since 2014, among which are ballasts for fluorescent lamps, compact ballasts for fluorescent lamps, HID magnetic ballasts, peak suppressors, as well as modules, tubes and drivers with LED technology.

New Everline range with LED technology
LED luminaires reduce energy consumption compared to conventional HID (High Discharge Intensity) lighting systems, as well as allowing easier control, excellent color, light uniformity, greater safety and require less maintenance.

•    Everline Wall Pack wall luminaires are ideal for the replacement of HID models or for use in new constructions. They use efficient LED technology and are available in five different options ranging from 956 to 3,080 lumens.

The EVERLINE Wall Pack are very efficient and long-lasting models that offer stable performance even under extreme temperature conditions or in harsh environments such as rain, snow and sleet.

•    The Everline Vapor Tight line is designed for rough-use lighting solutions for very demanding environments such as parking lots, warehouses or workshops. Designed with durability characteristics, these LED accessories have a reinforced fiberglass cabinet, which protects both the light source and the electronic components from the effect of water, vapors and pollutants.

•    The Everline LED Retrofit Kit simplifies the transition from fluorescent lighting to LED technology. This replacement kit offers excellent optical performance, with a wide angle distribution to eliminate dark areas and a careful binning process to ensure accurate and consistent color.

The replacement kit is available in four options, from 2,300 to 6,000 lumens. In addition, its installation is very simple, since it does not require special tools or complicated processes.

Commercial strategy
Panasonic's business strategy is divided into two main branches, the OEM manufacturers and the domestic distribution channel. In the case of OEM manufacturers of lighting products, the focus is on those specialized in the construction industry, while through the distribution channel the maintenance market is served.

"Products such as WallPack, Vapor Tight and LED Retrofit Kits come at a time of transition in the lighting industry to move from fluorescent light and HID (High Discharge Intensity) models to the use of LED technology and electronic lighting. By incorporating these products into our offering, we can provide solutions with greater efficiency, reliability, safety and durability," says Edgar Ruíz Sánchez, Lighting Sales Manager at Panasonic.
