Ready for free download from the pro.Bose.com site, the ControlSpace Remote 2.0 release allows integrators to share remote control of bose professional audio systems, networked within a venue, with any user and across multiple devices.
"In addition to being a great control solution for professional integrators, ControlSpace Remote gives the end user a very easy user experience," said Trevor Donarski, Product Manager at Bose Professional. "It's understandable that distributed audio systems are complex, but it's critical that control for the end user is as simple as possible."
This controlSpace Remote (CSR) software update covers its three main components: CSR Builder, CSR App and the newly released CSR Admin.
In the CSR Builder the design of the graphical user interface template has been extended with full customization options. Users can now create custom layouts, insert images, or create navigation paths between graphical interfaces and dashboards. Trevor Donarski comments, "The CSR Builder provides the best of both worlds, both ready-made templates for urgent work, and custom elements to use when the graphical interface can be customized and the client's brand image added." Predefined configurations make it easy to adapt the design according to each end user's device.
The CSR App 2.0 features a revamped user interface and is available for different platforms, from mobile phones and tablets with Apple and Android systems, to Apple OSX-based clients and Windows PC.
Finally, based on direct feedback from end users and integrators, ControlSpace Remote now offers the CSR Admin management tool for Apple and Windows computers, so that owners and managers of the venue where the audio system is located can share the app on the mobile devices of authorized personnel for use.
In addition to the new version of ControlSpace Remote, Bose has also updated the ControlSpace Designer software to version 4.4. This new release includes support for 32 x 32 Dante® expansion cards (for use with Bose ControlSpace ESP-880/1240/4120/1600 sound processors) and new signal processing blocks, including an automatic gain distribution microphone mixer and a newly upgraded parametric equalizer block.
