Latin America. Panasonic presented its latest novelty in projection: three ultra-compact low-maintenance 1-chip DLPTM laser projectors.
Especially aimed at exhibitions, stages, signage applications, control rooms and meetings, and classrooms, these projectors are framed within the PT-RZ970 series (three models up to 10,400 lm in the center), PT-RZ770 (two models up to 7,200 lumens in the center) and PT-RZ660 (two models up to 6,200 lumens in the center).
All these models incorporate watertight and dust-resistant optical motors that avoid the need for filters and lamp replacement, and extend the maintenance-free service life up to 20,000 hours.
"The hybrid wheel technology, which includes a sturdy phosphor rotating mechanism, and the Quartet Colour Harmoniser colour wheel, enables precise white balance, natural colour rendering and exceptional brightness. The result is top quality colours with minimal energy loss from the light source," says Hartmut Kulessa, Panasonic's projector marketing manager.
"Efficient 10,000:1 energy contrast is achieved with a digitally modulated dynamic ratio that controls light output frame by frame, depending on image requirements. Multi-projector synchronization interweaves the dynamic contrast of the network-connected projector and shutter functions, a new feature of Panasonic."
Detail, contrast and chromatic performance are optimized for bright rooms and mapping applications with Detail Clarity Processor 3 and System Daylight View 3 technology. Also included is the BT.709 compatible model for HDTV projection.
