Latin America. The high-quality Pro Cinema 6040UB and Pro Cinema 4040 projectors are the latest releases that the Epson company presented for the home cinema segment, which include 4K1 enhancement technology. These are Epson's first Pro Cinema projectors with 4K UHD signal input and high dynamic range support.
These newly designed Pro Cinema projectors provide up to 2,500 lumens of colored light and 2,500 lumens of white light, as well as a wide color gamut to display complete sRGB and DCI color spaces. The projectors are designed with a dynamic contrast ratio of up to 1,000,000:1 and display high dynamic range content with stunning bright colors and ultra-black tones for a fully immersive big-screen experience.
"With captivating resolution, a dynamic contrast ratio of up to 1,000,000:1 and a full range of high-quality cinematic features, the new Pro Cinema projectors are totally incredible," said Rodrigo Catalán, Executive Manager of Projectors at Epson America. "In addition, the flagship Pro Cinema 6040UB projector offers a level of performance that challenges any 4K projector currently available on the market. Viewers will be able to watch 4K UHD movies of impressive quality either from a UHD Blu-ray disc or through streaming services."
Designed to deliver performance with rich, bright colours, and thanks to the wide colour gamut, Epson's Pro Cinema projectors can display the full sRGB colour space, even in the brightest mode, as well as the full DCI (digital cinema standard) colour gamut in digital cinema mode. Both projectors include an improved optical engine and a new all-glass lens designed to deliver excellent sharpness and color uniformity with outstanding clarity throughout the screen.
Installers and customers can also take advantage of lens position memory that allows users to set up to 10 positions for motorized zoom, focus and lens shift for both standard projection and wide aspect ratios.
In addition, the wide lens displacement range offers exceptional installation flexibility, with both projectors offering an extremely wide range of up to ± 96.3 percent on the vertical axis and ± 47 percent on the horizontal axis.
